Today I really started my preparation for Camp Nanowrimo . I decided to start with a whole fresh novel, well, not 'fresh' fresh. It has been an idea that was kicking around my head for awhile. The idea?
"What would it be like if everything we knew in the world changed in an instant? How would I cope? What would other people do?"
It's not a new idea. But I figured that as my first experience at writing a novel, especially one under the pressure of a month, that it would be a good start. I'm not so emotionally involved in this one, as I am in some of my other ideas. I've saved one of those for another month...maybe.
The inspiration struck me again on the way home from work, and I thought, "Yup. Time to get this one out there." Many of my close friends and family would be aware of my night time dreams being filled with post-apocalyptic themes. It's no fun! (Why am I always the one left behind, chooses to be left behind...always at the bitterest end.) Let's see if fleshing the story helps purge some demons, so that I may dream dreams of a better tomorrow.
Today I'm trying to outline things...it's coming along with surprising ease!!!
